“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” Psalm 2:1-4 God who is enthroned in heaven laughs at rulers who come together and plot against him. God has a beautiful plan for South Africa. As God looks upon those who have come together and conspired to incite violence, tear holes into the economy and stir up fear in the hearts of people, God is not perplexed. In fact, He is ‘enthroned,’ meaning he is seated, in full control and he laughs at their evil plan. A VISION OF A NEW BEGINNING As I was praying over the riots in South Africa and enquiring of the Lord what will become of our country, the Lord took me into a vision, a powerful vision of an unexpected happy ending, or should I say a new beginning. I saw God enthroned in heaven, looking upon the evil plans that were concocted in our nation. He laughed, and I was curious to understand why he was laughing. He showed it to me like this: In this vision I saw how the devil used Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus and crucify him, but little did the devil know that God was going to use Jesus’ crucifixion to redeem mankind. God laughed at the devil. The devil’s plot was in vain, for what the enemy meant for evil the sovereign One turned for good. Then I saw the riots, destructive fires. Wicked people coming together, plotting and looking for desperate people to carry out their plan, the same way Judas was convinced to lead Jesus to the slaughter. Then I saw God laugh at them and He turned it all around for new leaders in South Africa to emerge. The riots that were meant to destroy, now ignited the hearts of South Africans to cry out for better leadership. God has already been preparing leaders that will bring true unity amongst the people and serve people. They will be givers and not takers, for they too have watched the heart ache of the people of South Africa. Even as I am typing this, I see a fire in their hearts to make a change, be the change and set South Africa on a trajectory of success. A few days later I saw in a vision that the South African flag was changing to a flag that had black and white closely woven together, merged and intertwined so beautifully. It was spectacular, like no flag I have ever seen. I understood from this vision of the flag that it will represent our new leaders, but also what their goal for our country will be. Unity! If you are thinking of an exit strategy from our amazing country, it may be a tad bit pre mature. Sit tight, God is just getting started. Don’t grow weary. God has not abandoned us. He will deliver on his promises. “God is not a man, that He should lie.”]]>
